<reviewbody>I've always wanted to be able to say this in a review at this site: I was there! Woo-hoo! In fact, we were seated next to Derek & Susan and their kids at a nearby restaurant prior to the show--the whole tour really is a family event. Anyway...thanks so much for a well-done recording--Mike Mattison's vocals are clearer here than they were for me at the venue, where I was a couple of rows back from the front of the balcony. This was a great show, with a fine line-up of tunes and a guest appearance by Susan--DTB is the best!</reviewbody>

<reviewbody>His vocals were muffled and indistinct for me, too, about 10 rows back in the balcony. This is bullshit. A spectacular band like that either needs a better effort out of the sound guy or needs to stop playing the Vic, if it's impossible to get good sound up there in the balcony, a mere stone's throw away from the stage. I was very disappointed by that. Susan Tedeschi's voice was easier to hear -- in fact, she sounded in great form. This makes me think the problem was in the mix, not the venue. This is the only reason I don't give the great show a 5 rating.</reviewbody>

<reviewbody>I've seen the DTB on numerous occasions and they played real well this entire show. The crowd was unruly and loud, as the recording will show. People yelling the whole show. At one point a guy was on his cell phone during the quiet part of greensleeves yelling that he couldnt hear the person he was talking to. Thats pretty annoying. We moved around a lot to try and find a quiet spot, but that did not exist. The acoustics, I agree, were not too hot but overall the mix was pretty good. Kofi was hanging out in the crowd for most of the opening act and went mostly unnoticed which was interesting. I rate the show on the quality of music, not the venue or how good a time it was. </reviewbody>
